We are live from the first day of ESWC Asia Masters – Four Korea participants will qualify for the main event, starting Monday.

Arriving at Yu Gwan-sun Gym where the event is taking, fans where standing outside, actually cheering when the foreign press arrived. The venue is actually very similar to Palais Omnisports de Paris Bercy, the venue where ESWC had their 2006 Grand Final and Masters event in 2008. The Korea qualification is soon to be finished, where four teams qualify in to the main event.

The organizers are very kind and friendly, making sure that we got everything we need. Once talking to Koreans not familiar with English, we got a translator appointed. The press area is everything you need as press, even including food and drinks.

The event will as mentioned begin tomorrow at 05:30CET, with groups A and B and continuing the entire day, also playing the quarter-finals. The event will conclude on Tuesday with the remaining matches in the playoffs.

Make sure to drop by our gallery section, where you will be able to check out the event, view photos from the first day in Cheonan and much more. We will be back with more tomorrow, as we will be on site bringing you all of the action from ESWC Asia Masters.
